Meet Sloane, Artemis, and Gerald—three animals from three separate biomes who explore various galaxies, trade resources with other planets, and gather research, all in an effort to save Earth during its climate crisis.

These three friends not only have differing personalities, but different climates they are used to. Each wears a space suit that uniquely mimics their biomes’ climate conditions.

Below are concept character sheets for a potential children’s book about a group of animal scientists/pioneers/environmentalists who work to save Earth’s environment. This book would teach children about different animals and their habitats; facts about outer space; promote environmentally friendly lifestyle habits; and fostering reading, spelling, and grammar skills.

sloane

Sloane the sloth is the heart of the group. She is silly, clumsy, and always willing to help. She has a knack for caring for all things nature—plants and animals alike. Her favorite pastimes include cooking, eating, gardening, yoga, and sleeping.

Artemis

Artemis the artic fox is the group’s brain. Not only does she pilot the team’s spaceship, she is an avid note taker, bookworm, and in charge of directions. Though she may come off as frigid, Artemis is passionate about her friends and saving Earth.

Gerald

Gerald the giraffe is the soul of the group. He is outgoing, optimisic, adventurous, and loves to collect variuos items on their travles. Despite his active lifestyle, Gerald has a deep respect for safety, always carrying around a first aid kit. Gerald is also a big advocate for practice and improvement. Currently he is training with Sloane to increase his flexibility.

the Globe

The Globe is the group’s ship. It is piloted by Artemis, who also aided in its design. This craft allows the team to quickly tranverse galaxies, as well as connect to other planets through radio contact. In addtion to traveling through space, it also travels in air, water, and on land.
